Joel Ofori is a London-based composer. He composes music for media alongside concert works, drawing from several influences, including 20th-century and contemporary concert pieces, electronic music, and film/video-game soundtracks. These influences are reflected in his works, which emphasise an exploration of texture and melody through both acoustic and electronic mediums.
He is a recent graduate of the Royal College of Music in London, where he obtained a master’s degree in Composition for Screen, studying under Dr. Dimitri Scarlato and Kate Simko. He also holds a BA in Music from the University of Bristol, where he was mentored by John Pickard and Neal Farwell. Joel’s music has been recorded at Angel Studios, and he has worked with many instrumentalists across multiple projects to bring his works to life.
